Hello again everyone.
Now, I don’t want to say I’ve chosen a brand for myself yet, because I haven’t. I’m still exploring the world of photography…But I feel like I need to have a brand here soon.
So, within the next few weeks, I will be working on my brand!
It’s very important to me that it’s perfect, too. So, expect to see some brand ideas in the near future.
I leave you now with an older photo of mine, “Baby Roses”
Really sorry that I haven’t been updating quite as often on here!
I just wanted to let you all know I’m still alive! And doing quite well on Redbubble! Be sure to check out my photos on there!
I entered Nikon’s Photo Contest, finally! I’ve only submitted two of the possible 10 that I can submit, but today I’m adding at least one more. I’ve been going through all my photos, and chosing the best ones to go in. I hope they see them as good too!
That’s about all that’s been happening around here. I’ll keep you all updated!
Hello everyone. My first post messed up a bit, so let me retry. I’m just going to give the backstories behind two of my favorite photos I’ve taken this year!
The first one is my Lily Pad Spiderweb. From the moment I took the shot, I knew that this was going to be a good one! I was out taking photos of the windchimes out by the pond in my backyard. The wind was blowing all over the place, and I couldn’t get a decent picture of those. So, as I turned to go inside, I stopped to look at the pond. And that’s when I saw it. A curled up lily pad with pond algae growing on it, so that it looked like a spiderweb. And if you know me, you know that I find beauty in all the weird places of the world. This was one of those places. I thought that it was just beautiful! I brought it in, got on the computer, and showed it to everyone, who all said, “EWW!”, well, at least my mom did. But, to this day, on DeviantART, it’s still my most popular photo, and quite big on Redbubble too.
The next is a more recent photo. It’s of my tree, Airos, when he was starting to turn color and lose leaves. I lied down underneath him, so that it almost made this weird, upside-down effect. I love it. I love weird angles, so this is of course one of my favorites. There’s not as big of a story behind this one, but that’s alright, because I still love it. Airos is a wonderful tree!
So, those are my two favorite photos of the year. I hope you all enjoyed the little backstory behind them, and, of course, I have others that I wanted to add, but, there’s just so many that I couldn’t add them all!!
Very sorry that I haven’t been around to update or anything. I’ve been in a creative stand-still, and I just needed a break. But, I just recieved a new camera, (not a full-size DSLR yet, just a bridge camera, but that’s fine.) and I have finally been taken out of my rut. The camera is a Fujifilm Finepix S4200. I hope to also be getting a bigger camera bag to carry all three of my cameras in!
I just wanted to let you all know I’m still here! Thanks!
Hello everyone. I haven’t posted on here in a couple days, and I have a reason behind this. I didn’t forget about the site altogether, actually it was the opposite of that. I’ve been thinking of something to post on here, though, my mind’s a blank. In fact, it’s been a blank on just about everything creative for the past week or two.
As you might know, I’ve still been posting to Redbubble. The latest picture being that of a giraffe’s neck. Well, that’s an old photo that I took. So nothing new creative-wise there. The next shots are that of the woods and reflections of water. Those are new. My aunt took me to the woods to take some photos, at which time, I hurt my leg walking down a hill. It’s fine now, but I think it has me in a rut. I don’t know where to go from here.
Does anyone else get this way? I feel like I’m not as good of a photographer for this. I should always be able to come up with something to photograph. But I can’t. I’m not doubting myself…I just can’t find anything.
But don’t get me wrong. I think there’s a photo in everything, I just…can’t find it. Sometimes you have to search a bit harder than others to find the photo, but it’s possible to find it.
I will keep updating my Facebook and Twitter, and Redbubble often. I might start putting my photos of my drawings on deviantART, just to keep up on there, but I don’t think much will happen there, so, nothing much will be updated on it.
Thank you all for reading. I hope you all never give up, and don’t ever forget your dreams.
There’s nothing wrong with staying with the same thing for a while. At least not in my opinion. I’m used to taking good shots of flowers or something like that. I’m not so used to getting “good” tree shots quite yet, and anything else is usually out of my mind. I don’t do it. But recently, as we all know, the flowers have become wilted, and the trees have lost their leaves. The beginning of winter is upon us, and that kind of ruins the whole “let’s get pretty shots of flowers!” kind of thing, not that that’s how I think, but you get the idea.
So, what do you do when your specialty isn’t really around for a while, or say you move to a place where there isn’t your specialty, no matter what it might be? You step out of your comfort zone, and you start taking photos of whatever you see. That doesn’t mean you have to take a lot of crappy snapshots. It just means, get creative, and don’t be afraid to do something different!
Different is not a bad thing, remember that. Especially in photography. People don’t want to look at the same old photos year after year. So come up with something good! Hope you all have a nice day! Thanks for reading!
